The Wonder of Walks

Some of the best times happen when I get off my rear end and go for a walk. First, I saw a rainbow. Then, I came upon a couple getting married- right in Oakland Park- There were probably 15 people in attendance; standing a few feet away from the bride and groom as the Pastor performed their ceremony. Mid-way through my walk, from across the pond, I heard the cheers of those in attendance and it was the most beautiful sound. Let it be known, you don’t need money to have a beautiful wedding. You just need friends and family who love you and, if you are a believer, God to be the center of it. Don’t get me wrong, in December we celebrate Cora’s marriage at a lovely venue just as we did Morgan’s last Fall. But, for this couple that I had the pleasure to witness, for them, they should know their wedding was equally beautiful. My heart is full with joy tonight. Thank you God for the unexpected gift.
