Awake & Be Fearless

God’s authority reigns over all things and under his authority we can be audacious – facing and overcoming things that, without Him, would cause us to respond in “normal” fear-ridden ways – like those who do not know Him.

But, in order for us to be fearless, we must first be AWAKE. We need to rise from our slumbers and make knowing HIS WORD and HIS LIFE’s EXAMPLE a priority. We cannot know HIM; or fulfill our individual callings without without personally making HIM the utmost LOVE of our lives.

For as Beth Moore so accurately states: “Sometime the devil roars like a lion”; but “sometimes he sings a lullaby”. And his lullaby sounds like this:

“Rock a bye Christian,
Lulled by the world;
When the wind blows,
All Hell will unfurl.

Stay in your sleep,
Distracted or scared;
So when I wreak havoc
You won’t be prepared.”

I want to encourage you today, if you have fallen asleep; wake up and rise up; know Him more today than you did yesterday and stay on that path. Be the mighty woman or man of God that He has called you to be!
_____
Romans 13:11 (NIV)

“And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.”

______
Ephesians 5:13-16 (NIV)

“But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said:
‘Wake up, sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.’
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
