About

good

First and foremost, I am a Christ-follower who is, admittedly, “Under Construction”. My first marriage ended in 2009 after 18 years; but through God’s grace, I met a Christian man who I married on August 1, 2015. Our blended family includes 5 adult children, ages ranging from 19-26, with the 2 oldest being girls; both of whom are now married! (Morgan in Nov. 2018 & Cora in Dec. 2019) Our collegiate loyalties include: Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, Florida State University in Tallahassee, and Berry College in Rome, GA. As of 2019, our youngest son enlisted in the United States Army Infantry and is currently stationed at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. We are proud of each and everyone of them and our excited to see how their futures unfold.

For me, weekdays begin with my alarm going off at 5:00 a.m. I commute 30 minutes to downtown Orlando where I am the Operations Director at a boutique estate planning law firm. I arrive at the office at 6:30 a.m. and depart back for home at 4:00 p.m.; except Fridays when I am fortunate to end the day at 11:00 a.m.

I consider myself a “foodie” who REALLY gets excited about all things related to the culinary world! (Like really excited). Next to my faith and family, food takes up quite a lot of my mind share!

Currently, Under Construction with Christ is a collection of personal thoughts and writings the Holy Spirit stirs in me, as well as teachings, & writings from others that I have encountered (and continue to encounter) in my personal journey as a Christian. The title is such, because I have come to realize that as long as I am on this earth, I will be “under construction” in my quest to reflect Christ’s nature to all who cross my path and in my desire to have unwavering faith.

Beyond that, I can’t really be specific as to what you will find. I have no preconceived idea or notion whatsoever. In fact, I have waited many years to even have a page like this – waiting for God to “confirm” its direction and for me to feel “worthy” enough to think that He would possibly use me to share any of this with you.

All I know is that, I appreciate it so much when someone shares with me what they’ve learned.  I guess, in a nut-shell, that’s what I hope you will get from this blog – one more place you can turn to for encouragement and knowledge on your own “under construction” journey.

~Blessings and Peace to you~
